Matthias Scheutz, of the Departments of Informatics, Computer Science, and Cognitive Science at Indiana University, will present “DIARC: Steps Toward Integrated Cognitive NLP Architecture for Human-Robot Interaction” on Wednesday, January 20 at 3:30 p.m. in Room MEA202 of the McArthur Engineering Annex. Professor Scheutz will present his latest work on an incremental NLP system integrated into a robotic DIARC architecture, which is heavily based on findings in psycholinguistics about the nature of lexical, syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic processing and its relation to action execution.
