Adriaan Geuze and Miami's West 8 office are completing a design of Lincoln Park Miami.

The School of Architecture will host a lecture by award-winning Dutch landscape architect Adriaan Geuze on Monday, January 24 at 6 p.m. in the Jorge M. Perez Architecture Center, Glasgow Lecture Hall. Geuze will present “Reframing.” The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.arc.miami.edu.

Geuze is the principal-in-charge of West 8 Urban Design & Landscape Architecture, a leading urban design practice in Europe. After winning the prestigious Prix-de-Rome award in 1990, Geuze with West 8 established an international reputation for planning and design of the public environment. He founded the Surrealistic Landscape Architecture (SLA) Foundation in 1992 to increase public awareness of his profession. The work of West 8 integrates contemporary culture, urban identity, architecture, public space, and engineering in landscape design. Geuze and Miami’s West 8 office are now completing their design of Lincoln Park Miami, which is attached to the New World Symphony building on Miami Beach. Both are scheduled to open later this month.
