7:30 pm

The Young Musicians’ Camp at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music presents the Fifth Annual Simon Salz Memorial Concert on Saturday, July 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Clarke Recital Hall on the Coral Gables campus. Featured musicians will include vocalist Wendy Pedersen and veteran jazz artist Ira Sullivan. Performances by honors students from this year’s summer camp will open the concert.

Proceeds from the concert will fund scholarships that will allow young musicians to attend the camp.

The Annual Simon Salz Memorial Concert provides formal fundraising for scholarships and financial aid to support music education initiatives in South Florida. The Young Musicians’ Camp, created more than a decade ago by the late South Florida guitarist, Simon Salz, and his wife, Sarah Salz, has touched the lives of thousands of young musicians from all over the world.

Tickets to the event are $25. For reservations and more information, call 305-238-8937 or visit www.youngmusicianscamp.com. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
