Soon the Office of Student Employment will start referring incoming freshmen accepted in the Miami Commitment Program to available job opportunities for the upcoming fall semester. Only applicants with the highest academic records seeking challenge and responsibility on the job and who, among other characteristics, described themselves as self-directed and dependable were accepted for fall 2011.

With the Federal Work Study Program allocation further reduced for the 2011-12 academic year, there will be fewer FWS eligible students available for hire. Now, more than ever, the Miami Commitment Program will be the easiest, most cost effective means to hire new student employees.
