6:30 pm

The University of Miami’s Frost School of Music will present its holiday gala dinner, Winter Wonderful, on Sunday, December 4 at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel. The candlelight dinner features holiday music performed by hundreds of talented student musicians from the Frost School of Music who are pursuing their dream of a life and career in music. The goal of Winter Wonderful is to raise $100,000 for music scholarships at the Frost School.

Highlights of the evening will include a VIP cocktail reception, a three-course holiday dinner, and joyous musical performances by the voices of the Frost Chorale, Symphonic Choir, Cantilena Women’s Choir, and Maelstrom Men’s Choir, as well as instrumentalists in the Frost Holiday Orchestra, featuring holiday carols from around the globe. The music director is Karen Kennedy, program director for Choral Studies at the Frost School of Music. Individual tickets begin at $250, with tables of ten ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 and up.

“The Frost School of Music’s Winter Wonderful! Holiday Dinner is simply the perfect start to the holiday season,” said Shelton G. Berg, dean of the Frost School. “It brings good cheer to new and longtime friends of the University of Miami and patrons of the arts in our community. Best of all, the gala proceeds go directly to support music scholarships at the Frost School of Music, including our new Frost Music-Reach mentoring program that uplifts and encourages at-risk teens in our community all year long to succeed in school and in life.”

The JW Marriott Marquis Hotel is located at 255 Biscayne Boulevard Way, Miami. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. For more information or to order tickets, visit www.winter-wonderful.com, call 305-284-6486, or email [email protected].
