Hundreds of students, faculty, and staff members joined hands on April 20, encircling Lake Osceola on the University of Miami’s Coral Gables campus in a symbolic “hug” to show their appreciation for and increase awareness about the environment. Organized by Random Acts of Kindness, the Hug the Lake event was part of Earth Week activities at UM.
