Clad in Hurricane green and orange, hundreds of University of Miami employees laced up their sneakers on April 26 and hit the ground running for the 2012 Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run in downtown Miami. With 890 registered participants, UM doubled its participation over last year’s event. The UM contingent was among the 22,640 participants and 830 companies registered for the run.

The team of runners and walkers from the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science captured the inaugural President’s Cup Office Challenge, which honors the largest UM team in the run. Human Resources and the School of Law came in second and third, respectively.
