Join the City Beautiful for an evening of music, food, and fireworks. The City of Coral Gables Independence Day celebration will take place on Thursday, July 4, starting at 5 p.m. at the Biltmore Hotel. Free to the general public, this year’s celebration will include a special concert by the Greater Miami Symphonic Band at 7 p.m., plus concessions, patriotic mascots, and a spectacular pyrotechnic display that will light up the skies at 9 p.m.
Coral Gables, the Biltmore Hotel, the University of Miami, the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, 396 Alhambra, and HBO Latin America are co-sponsoring the event. Rhiannon Ally, co-anchor of CBS4 This Morning and CBS4 News at Noon, will be the master of ceremonies.
“We had an extraordinary event last July 4,” said Coral Gables Mayor Jim Cason, “and we’re thrilled to be able to collaborate with the Biltmore Hotel and businesses to make this wonderful event happen again this year.”
