A healthy workplace environment should be free from the threat of violence. The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP), in partnership with UM Security, presents “Preventing Workplace Violence,” a lunchtime seminar identifying the source of workplace violence and exploring guidelines for its prevention. While there is no sure way of knowing if someone will commit a violent act, there are signs that often indicate if an individual is on the road to violence. This seminar will provide valuable information that can help you detect troubled workers and discuss options for accessing help.
