Miami-Dade County’s Community Action and Human Services Department and the University of Miami’s School of Education and Human Development will host an anti-violence conference, “Calling All Men: Reject the Culture of Violence,” on Wednesday, September 18, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at UM’s Newman Alumni Center, 6200 San Amaro Drive on the Coral Gables campus.
National experts in the field of violence prevention and intervention will address efforts to reduce violence in the South Florida community. Workshops will provide the tools needed for young men to take leadership roles in addressing violence in Miami-Dade County.
