CORAL GABLES, Fla. (August 14, 2014) — The University of Miami women’s soccer team kicks off its 18-game regular season with a road contest against the Florida Gators this Friday.

Miami’s challenging nonconference slate also includes road trips to Central Florida (August 24) and Florida Gulf Coast University (August 29), as well as home matchups against Jacksonville (September 2), Stetson (September 5), and FAU (September 7).

“We have an opportunity to play some top-tier programs outside of the ACC,” said head coach Mary-Frances Monroe. “In building our schedule, we wanted to compete against programs that would prepare us for the challenges we face weekly in the conference.”

Miami will face ten Atlantic Coast Conference opponents. The team will play ten road games and eight games at home inside Cobb Stadium on UM’s Coral Gables campus.
