Raising awareness about sexual violence prevention at the U starts with you. Learn invaluable tools to prevent sexual violence on campus with Stetson University College of Law Professor Peter Lake at an interactive seminar, sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs, Office of the General Counsel, and the Department of Human Resources, on Thursday, February 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the School of Business Administration’s Storer Auditorium.

Lake will share insightful information regarding the University’s role and responsibility for prohibiting gender discrimination and managing sexual misconduct. Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend and may register through ULearn. (Use the keyword UNDERSTANDING and search for Preventing Campus Sexual Violence and Understanding UM Responsibilities under Title IX.) You also may register through Eventbrite.

For more information on the University’s Title IX and Sexual Violence educational awareness program, which includes a Title IX webpage, brochures and posters, educational programming and training, as well as an interactive online training titled “Preventing Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence,” please visit miami.edu/wep  or the Division of Student Affairs.
