‘Journey Down the Silk Road’ This Evening As UM Rings In the Lunar New Year

    Chinese New Year

    Watch a colorful and creative dragon dance performance, enjoy a calligraphy demonstration, and dine on Chinese, Korean, and Japanese cuisine starting at 6 p.m. on Monday, February 23, when the University of Miami’s 2015 Lunar New Year Celebration, “Journey Down the Silk Road,” gets underway at the University Center Lakeside Patio. Organized by the Chinese Students and Scholars Association and the Asian American Students Association, this year’s event will also feature a Kung Fu exhibition, interactive tents, food trucks, and a variety of other East Asian traditions.
