A two-day Data Carpentry Workshop in Python, jointly hosted by the Miami Clinical and Translational Science Institute and the Center for Computational Science (CCS), will be held May 18-19 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the School of Communication, Frances L. Wolfson Building, Shoma Hall, room 3053.
Focusing on data management and minimal data manipulation, this beginner-level workshop will help scientists who are currently using tools (like spreadsheets) to start writing small programs to analyze their data in traceable, reproducible ways. The format is a mix of short seminars and hands-on practical exercises. Participants are encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems during and between sessions.
Space is limited to 40, so register soon. For additional information, please contact [email protected] or visit the CCS website.
