To more effectively promote Study Abroad programs to students, UM’s Study Abroad office is requesting that faculty members who are interested in leading courses abroad during the 2016 intersession, spring break, or summer sessions complete and submit a brief  Intent to Propose form to [email protected] by Wednesday, June 15.

This early deadline will allow study abroad advisors to advertise programs sooner and plan for the coming year. Full proposals with a complete budget and required signatures will be due on Tuesday, September 15.  The full proposal and instructions can be found here.

Faculty members who have familiarity with their proposed area(s) of travel and who are able to commit to related administrative tasks are eligible to lead short-term courses abroad.

Study Abroad encourages UM students to enrich their education by pursuing opportunities abroad. Each year, nearly 200 UM students attend intersession and summer programs taught by our knowledgeable faculty.

For more information, please contact Devika Milner, director of Study Abroad, at [email protected] or 305-284-6858. Visit the Study Abroad website and follow Study Abroad on Facebook.
