The Office of Emergency Management will conduct a full-system test of the Emergency Notification Network between 1:45 and 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 10.  This federally required semi-annual test will include the activation of the following communication methods:

• SMS text messages to cell phones from short code 67283 or 226787
• Voice calls to cell phones from 800-227-0354
• Email from [email protected]
• Emergency Information Hotline (1-800-227-0354)

• Emergency Preparedness website: www.miami.edu/prepare
• Emergency Preparedness Facebook: www.facebook.com/umiamienn
• Emergency Preparedness Twitter: www.facebook.com/umiamienn
• IP telephone broadcast
  • Gables campus and  CSTARS – Screen text and public address via speakerphones
  • Medical campus – screen text only
• Campus Cable TV (Gables and Medical campuses only)
• Digital Signage (Select Gables campus buildings)
• Public Address (Gables campus buildings and outdoor areas only listed below)

The test messages last approximately one minute and will all clearly state, “This is a test of the UMiami Emergency Notification Network. This is only a test. No further action is required.”
