RSVP for Research Intersections’ Spring Graduate Student Symposium April 4

    Graduate students, faculty, and postdocs are invited to join the Graduate School’s Research Intersections’ Spring Graduate Student Symposium on Tuesday, April 4, at 5:30 p.m. at the University of Miami Fieldhouse at the Watsco Center.

    Jointly run by the Graduate School and the Graduate Students Association, Research Intersections is a cross-campus, cross-school, and cross-department networking initiative designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers across UM. Come meet other researchers, socialize, and learn about each other’s work.

    The keynote speakers this year are Sharon Smith, professor emeritus of marine biology and ecology at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, and Alberto Caban-Martinez, a board-certified physician, epidemiologist, and assistant professor of public health sciences at the Miller School of Medicine. They will discuss their experiences with interdisciplinary research in oceans and human health.
