The Women’s Commission Book Group invites members of the University community to come to its first meeting of the academic year on Friday, September 29, and to successive lunchtime meetings from noon to 1 p.m. in the Whitten University Center, room 2420. Bring a brown bag lunch and meet other UM colleagues during the first discussion on the book, Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy, by Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant (240 pages).

Also, please bring future book suggestions, preferably by UM-based authors, about women-empowering stories, or both.

Subsequent meetings will take place on the following Fridays: October 27, December 1, January 26, February 23, March 30, and April 27.

To attend, RSVP to Mari-Carmen Saumell at [email protected] as space will be limited. To learn more about the Women’s Commission, visit http://wcommission.miami.edu/.
