Freyre was one of several University of Miami employees who saw the Heat defeat the Detroit Pistons 105-78 in a preseason game on October 18 in Miami. In recognition of their outstanding work, UM employees received free Heat tickets for making a United Way contribution. A second ticket distribution event takes place on the Coral Gables and Miller School of Medicine campuses this week.
