The Department of Epidemiology and Public Health will host Grand Rounds on August 15 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Clinical Research Building, conference room 989. Samy Suissa, James McGill Professor of epidemiology, biostatistics and medicine at McGill University and director of the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology at the Lady Davis Research Institute at Montreal’s Jewish General Hospital, will present “Randomized Trials Built on Sand? Examples from COPD, HRT, and Cancer.” Suissa is an internationally recognized scientist in the field of pharmacoepidemiology and the author of more than 280 peer-reviewed research papers.
