The 11th annual UM Family Day offers a host of activities and fun for employees, co-workers, and family members.

Knock one out of the park with the Miami Marlins as the University of Miami hosts Family Day with the Marlins on Saturday, April 16, at Marlins Park in Little Havana. The Marlins will match up against their eastern division rivals, the Atlanta Braves, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:10 p.m.

The game will be preceded by a lineup of special activities.

Continuing this week and through the end of the month, each regular employee, as well as contract employees, can pick up one complimentary ticket and purchase up to two additional tickets for $1 each. Those tickets come with a food voucher for a hot dog, chips, and a fountain drink or bottle of water. Extra tickets without vouchers will be available for $10 each. Children under 3 do not require tickets.

You must have a valid ’Cane Card (UM ID) to receive your tickets; only one ID card per person will be permitted, and you cannot bring anyone else’s ID to purchase tickets for them. You can receive tickets only at a single ticket distribution session; you cannot go multiple times. If you plan to sit with other UM employees, you must pick up your tickets together, at the same time and distribution site. Cash only will be accepted for all ticket purchases. Family Day tickets will be available for sale at all ticket distribution sites on all days while quantities last.

Ticket distribution continues this week on the Coral Gables, Miller School, and University of Miami Hospital campuses and on one more date thereafter. Contract employees must pick up their tickets at the Foote University Green location near the Richter Library. Miller School and University of Miami Hospital employees can pick up tickets at either the Miller School or UMH distribution sites.

Pregame and Postgame Activities
The event will feature pregame activities for the entire family, including autograph sessions, face painting, and more. Family activities and entertainment begins at 4:45 p.m. and will be located on the West Plaza. Pregame on-field ceremonies will highlight the University of Miami.

Ticket Sale Dates

• Coral Gables campus: Tuesday, March 29 (Foote University Green). From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
• Miller School campus: Monday, March 28. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day at the Schoninger Research Quadrangle.
• University of Miami Hospital: Wednesday, March 30. From 8 a.m. to noon each day. Patio area adjacent to Seminar Center C.
