This informative two-part seminar, offered by the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP), demonstrates how humor, wisdom, and understanding can make a big difference in what is often considered the ultimate parenting challenge. Learn how to stay calm and cool-headed while dealing with hot-button issues such as rude attitudes, lying, and succumbing to peer pressure. The seminar will review easy-to-follow suggestions for setting limits while maintaining a close and loving relationship. This lunchtime seminar, offered through the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP), will review the federal mortgage relief programs available to qualifying homeowners. Mortgage payment assistance, loan modification, and short sales will be discussed to help participants make informed decisions. Maria Gaitan, housing and business development manager with Consolidated Credit Counseling Services, Inc., will help participants explore these options. Consolidated Credit Counseling Services, Inc. is a HUD-approved nonprofit credit and housing counseling agency. FSAP seminars are offered as part of the University of Miami’s Well ’Canes Program.
