The University of Miami will host an obesity symposium on Monday, October 10, which will feature a poster session in the Schoninger Research Quadrangle. Posters will be displayed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and attendees can speak with poster authors from 11 a.m. to noon.

The poster presentation will allow groups at the University and community to showcase their work, including research, clinical programs, bariatric surgery, and community interventions through graphs, photos, diagrams, and brief text. A plenary session with presentations from faculty from a variety of disciplines, including Ann-Karen Weller, director of the Office of Community Health and Planning at the Miami-Dade County Health Department, will be held from 12:20 to 5 p.m. in the Broad-Bussel Auditorium, located on the first floor of the Clinical Research Building.
