With technology advancing at a rapid rate, even the most technically experienced individuals are challenged to keep pace with available tools. As part of the Audio Conference Lunch and Learn Series, the Professional Development and Training Office offers the audio conference “Technology Tips and Shortcuts of Today’s Top Administrative Professionals.” The program will provide updates on new technology concepts, explore critical techniques to improve search results, examine tools to increase efficiency, and review shortcuts to increase productivity. Performance Improvement Management (PIM) is a highly interactive series of four sessions and three computer-based learning modules. The goal of the series is to set expectations for UM leaders and to develop the knowledge and skills required for effective employee performance management, with a focus on coaching employees to improve performance and productivity. Sessions will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on the following dates:
• Thursday, July 22, 2010 (PIM II)
• Thursday, July 29, 2010 (PIM III)
• Thursday, September 23 (PIM IV)

Of all human emotions, anger is one of the most misunderstood. Yet it holds the greatest potential for both destructive or constructive expression. Anger Management, a seminar offered by the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP), provides participants with a greater understanding of anger and techniques for managing its expression. Discover the value of this emotion and its capacity to motivate, spark growth, and foster change.
