This Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) lunchtime seminar will provide participants with an overview of the real estate tax calculation process. The presenter, Gerardo “Jerry” Gomez, a special projects administrator with the Miami-Dade County Finance Department, will help participants understand their tax notices, note areas of interest, and review available options for managing current- and future-year payments. The seminar will also address alternatives available for those unable to pay their taxes, the delinquent tax process, and Internet tax certificate sales in Miami-Dade and throughout Florida.
