School of Architecture faculty member Carmen Guerrero, director of the school’s Rome Program, and her students were recently invited to display a collection of their models and drawings at the new MAXXI museum in Rome. Their work is being displayed through November 28 as part of an inaugural exhibition titled “Luigi Moretti Architetto from Rationalism to the Informal.” The collection has played a valuable role in the preservation of the work of Italian architect Luigi Moretti, and the opening is a significant curatorial event for researchers of modern architecture in Europe. Guerrero has led her students in the research of Moretti for more than three years and has shown their work in Rome, Switzerland, and Miami.
