Lorenzo Muniz, formerly general manager of the Global Spectrum-managed James L. Knight International Center in downtown Miami, has been named general manager of the BankUnited Center—also managed by Global Spectrum—on the University of Miami’s Coral Gables campus.
“We enthusiastically welcome Lorenzo to the University of Miami and look forward to the benefits of his expertise in growing the business at the BankUnited Center,” said Sandra Redway, the University’s executive director of auxiliary services.
Muniz joined Global Spectrum in July 2007 as director of operations at the Knight International Center. He was promoted to general manager in February 2008.
Prior to joining Global Spectrum, Muniz was vice president, consulting, for the Klass-Ex Entertainment Group, Staten Island, New York; vice president and part owner at Intelitech, New York City; assistant vice president at The Bank of New York, New York City; Market Data Analyst, Solomon Brothers Inc., New York City; and a stock broker for L.F. Rothschild, Uterberg, Towbin, New York City.
Muniz received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from John Jay College in New York City.
