Each year the Faculty Senate awards the James W. McLamore Outstanding Service Award, the Outstanding Teaching Award, and the Distinguished Faculty Scholar Award. These highly prestigious awards recognize the exceptional efforts of members of the University of Miami community in three key areas of academic life.
The Faculty Senate encourages you to submit nominations for any or all three of these distinguished awards. Recipients are selected based on the results of a highly competitive peer-review process. Nomination materials for all three awards are due to the Faculty Senate office by Monday, October 22. The links below provide nomination criteria and more detailed information regarding the awards.
The James W. McLamore Outstanding Service Award recognizes service above and beyond the call of duty by a member of the University community. For more information, please click here.
The Outstanding Teaching Award recognizes outstanding teaching by a faculty member with a substantial record of teaching at the University. For more information, please click here.
