Join John E. Lewis, associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Miller School of Medicine and associate director of the Medical Wellness Center, as he presents basic principles of nutrition to help you create a healthy eating plan. A mostly whole-food, plant-based diet paired with a consistent exercise program that includes cardiovascular and strength conditioning will leave you healthier and in better shape to prevent chronic diseases. This session, presented by the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP), will show you how to optimize your health through basic nutrition principles, thereby advancing your physical and psychological wellness.
