Members of the Department of Radiology participated in the UPS 5K on September 7 in Coral Gables.

Members of the Department of Radiology got a head start in their support of the University of Miami’s United Way campaign, participating in the UPS 5K on September 7 in Coral Gables—an event in which UM was recognized as a bronze-level sponsor. Ty Subhawong, assistant professor of clinical radiology, finished third in the 30-34 male age group. Photos of the team at the UPS 5K may be viewed here.

Please remember to make your United Way contribution by Friday, October 4 for your chance to win special prizes. One-percent donors will also be entered to win exclusive prizes such as airline tickets or a cruise vacation. UM employees who have already made their 2013 United Way pledges will be automatically entered to win.

Contributions can be made online through myUM. Simply log on to myUM and click on “United Way Contribution” in the upper left side of the home page under “Give to United Way,” then follow the instructions to make your donation. Faculty and staff can assign their contributions as unrestricted, direct their gift to a University of Miami fund, or designate it to their favorite not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
