The University of Miami’s Housing and Residential Life’s Residential College System has won the SEAHO Housing and Academic Collaboration Award, a prestigious regional award issued annually by the Southeastern Association of Housing Officers to a housing department whose programs intentionally involve academic affairs in on-campus residential communities.

The residential college system marked its 30th anniversary last August and continues to find innovative ways to incorporate faculty into the residential experience for students living in any of the five residential colleges on campus. The goal of this system is to create environments where faculty and residence life staff jointly work to fulfill Housing and Residential Life’s motto of “Student Housing for Student Success.”
