In celebration of its seventh anniversary assisting University of Miami students and alumni to create and grow their businesses, The Launch Pad will host its first annual Launch Day on Wednesday, August 26, beginning at 12:30 p.m. on the University Center Lakeside Patio. The festivities will include an on-the-spot pitch contest with a live audience judging to encourage all aspiring entrepreneurs to start their journey in 2015.

Attendees also will have the opportunity to meet The Launch Pad staff and entrepreneurs and hear co-founder and Senior Vice Provost Bill Green and Director Will Silverman discuss the Launch Pad’s history of nurturing businesses and more about the program’s future. Giveaways include T-shirts and Starbucks gift cards.
