The Office of Emergency Management will conduct a full-system test of the Emergency Notification Network between 1:45 and 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 6. This federally required semi-annual test will include the activation of the following communication methods:
- SMS Text Messages to Cell Phones from short code 67283 or 226787
- Voice Calls to Cell Phones from 800-227-0354
- Email from [email protected]
- Emergency Information Hotline (1-800-227-0354)

The test messages last approximately one minute and will all clearly state, “This is a test of the UMiami Emergency Notification Network. This is only a test. No further action is required.”
