Residents of The City Beautiful had a day dedicated just for them at the UM-Virginia Tech game at Sun Life Stadium on November 20, as the University of Miami celebrated Coral Gables Day to honor the longstanding relationship between UM and the city. The special day, which will become an annual event, included a buy-one, get-two free ticket promotion for Gables residents. Prior to the game, UM President Donna E. Shalala, Senior Vice President for Business and Finance Joe Natoli, and mascot Sebastian the Ibis welcomed Coral Gables Mayor Don Slesnick, left, and City Manager Patrick Salerno, right.
