The Controller’s Office is offering two training sessions on Thursday, August 6 at the Miller School of Medicine campus. The first class is an informative one-hour overview session recommended for DMAS/FRS users who are new to the systems or have not had Controller’s Office training in the financial systems. The second class is on Sponsored Menu Screens (SPM) found in DMAS and FRS. Depending on their access and needs, individuals may register for one or both classes via ULearn.miami.edu. For more information, e-mail [email protected] or call 305-284-5509.

Class: DMAS/FRS for Beginners - for those who have DMAS/FRS access and are new to the systems.

Date: Thursday, August 6, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Miller School campus Professional Development and Training Office Training Room, Dominion Towers Parking Garage Building, first floor (Room 155)

This beginners’ classroom session will help new DMAS/FRS users better understand the University’s financial system and the basic terms and concepts of FRS. The class is also a nice refresher for existing users who may not have had the benefit of training from the Controller’s Office.

Class: Sponsored Programs Screens in DMAS/FRS - for those who have DMAS/FRS access to Sponsored accounts.

Date: Thursday, August 6 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Miller School campus Professional Development and Training Office Training Room, Dominion Towers Parking Garage Building, first floor (Room 155).

This classroom session will include a review of Sponsored Program screens in DMAS and FRS. Topics for discussion include Post Award Accounting such as the award reimbursement method.
