With a little help from mascot Billy the Marlin, Roni Avissar, the new dean of the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, gets into the baseball spirit by proudly displaying his tickets to the fourth annual UM Family Night with the Marlins. Avissar, a renowned climatologist who has studied the effects of Amazon deforestation on precipitation patterns around the world, was one of several Rosenstiel employees who picked up their tickets last Monday during the school’s ticketing distribution event for Family Night, which this year takes place on Saturday, September 12 at Land Shark Stadium.
