Vance Lemmon, professor of neurological surgery, will present Discovery Science grand rounds on Thursday, October 13 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Lois Pope LIFE Center, seventh-floor auditorium. Lemmon’s lecture, titled “High-Throughput Phenotyping in an Academic Lab: From Images to Networks,” will review ways in which high-throughput phenotyping is being used to understand and perhaps ameliorate damage to the spinal cord. A 20-minute reception will precede the lecture at 4:40 p.m. Those who cannot attend can view the event via live webcast. The Division of Hospital Medicine will host grand rounds on Thursday, October 13 at 12 p.m. at University of Miami Hospital, UMH Seminar Center C. Ricardo Jorge Komatar, assistant professor of neurological surgery, director of surgical neuro-oncology at University of Miami Hospital, and co-director of neuro-oncology at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, will present “Heat Shock Protein Vaccine for Glioblastoma Multiforme.”
