Disbursements is now offering monthly eCheck training sessions through the online Elluminate Live! platform. eCheck is a University eForm available in UMeNET that has replaced the paper check requisition process. The next online eCheck training is scheduled for Friday, June 18 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Log on to ULearn to sign up for the session. The Cosford Cinema is thanking all University of Miami employees and their guests with a free screening this weekend of the Bruce Springsteen Concert film London Calling: Live in Hyde Park. Filmed in London last summer at the Hard Rock Calling Festival, this 90-minute version of the outdoor concert features the Boss with the E Street band performing 13 live tracks, including hits Born to Run and Glory Days.
Show times are Friday, June 18 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, June 19 at 2 p.m.; and Sunday, June 20 at 7 p.m. All UM employees and their guests will be admitted free. Please bring your ’Cane ID card for admission at the door. No advance tickets. For more details about the film, click here.

Designed for residents, fellows, faculty, and alumni of the Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Ophthalmology and for community ophthalmologists, the 46th Annual Residents’ Days 2010 conference will update participants on new instrumentation available, the progress of ongoing clinical studies, and the effects of new research on the treatment of patients. Didactic presentations will be augmented by audiovisuals in addition to question-answer periods. The conference takes place at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in the Retter Auditorium, second floor, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Friday, June 18, and from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on June 19.
The Miller School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 9.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Registration fee is $250 for BPEI Alumni Association members and $275 for non-members. Conference fee includes course materials, continental breakfast on both days, lunch on Friday, refreshment breaks, and an opening reception.
