The Jay Weiss Center for Social Medicine and Health Equity will host grand rounds on Tuesday, June 29 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Rosenstiel Medical Science Building, third-floor auditorium. Christopher Dodd, Jay Weiss Center resident in internal medicine and global health equity, will present “Crossing the Chasm Between Basic Science to Health Care Delivery Science: The Managua Cardiovascular Health Initiative.”
The presentation is the culmination of Dodd’s participation in the Jay Weiss Center Residency Program in Social Medicine and Health Equity. The center has funded the Managua Cardiovascular Health Initiative feasibility study over the past year. Dodd will be presenting his work at the end of this pilot study. In addition, Nubia Reyes, one of the community health workers from the study in Managua, will be in attendance and will answer questions following Dodd’s presentation, time permitting.
