Hurricanes have the potential to significantly disrupt research operations. If you are involved in any type of research, are you and your lab prepared? Do you have an emergency preparedness plan and a list of important phone numbers? Are all critical records backed up on the network? Are all photo documentation records, protective supplies, and contact and evacuation information registered in myUM?
All University faculty and staff are invited to attend a disaster preparedness presentation focusing on how to protect research from potential hurricane damage on Wednesday, June 27 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Lois Pope LIFE Center, seventh-floor auditorium. The Miller Office of Research, in partnership with Emergency Management, the Division of Veterinary Resources, Physical Plant, Information Technology, Environmental Health and Safety, and Security, will conduct the presentation.
