School of Communication, Voice of America to host conference on rebuilding Haiti

The Voice of America and the University of Miami’s School of Communication invite the UM community to attend Haiti: One Year Later, a conference focusing on rebuilding the quake-ravaged nation and featuring keynote speakers Kenneth Merten, U.S. ambassador to Haiti, and Haitian Ambassador Louis Harold Joseph. The conference is scheduled for Saturday, January 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Studio C at the School of Communication. Panel discussions with UM professors and Haitian community leaders will include topics such as reconstruction, politics today, and the media. Admission and parking are free.
