Try the new UM Web search, scheduled to go live September 7

The University of Miami is upgrading its Web search. The new search will index more University of Miami content and will deliver more relevant search results. Personnel within the University’s Division of Information Technology and University Communications are planning to go live with the new Google-based Web search on the top-tier website beginning Tuesday, September 7. The old search will continue to operate on that date but will be phased out a month later.

In preparation for this change, we’d like the University community to help review and provide feedback regarding the new search and search results. We invite you to please visit our test site at http://www.miami.edu/index.php/web_search and provide feedback by e-mailing [email protected]. In addition, please visit the search transition website containing information about the new search implementation schedule, related changes, and upgrades of note. We will be conditioning search results based on your feedback, so your participation is welcomed and appreciated.

NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE OR CHANGE LINKS ON YOUR WEB PAGES AT THIS TIME. The current search is still being tested and the Web location for this search may change. Please visit the search transition website for more information.
