If you loved Midnight in Paris, come back to see Woody Allen’s classic Stardust Memories with Charlotte Rampling. Allen’s tenth film follows a director (played by himself) experiencing an existential crisis at a retrospective of his work being held at the Stardust Hotel. Reflective of Allen’s own life, the director is harassed by complaints from his fans, critics, and even space aliens that his earlier comedies are superior to his dramatic work. At the same time, he struggles to juggle a trio of women in his private life. Inspired by Fellini’s 8 1/2, Stardust Memories is about the chaos and hilarity that can ensue during an identity and creative crisis.

The film is part of an ongoing series called Cosford Classics, which brings back classic films to the big screen to be rediscovered in all their glory. This film will screen Friday, January 20 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, January 21 at 3 and 7 p.m. General admission is $9. Admission is $7 for seniors, University of Miami alumni, faculty, non-UM students, and staff. Free for UM students. To purchase tickets online or for more information, visit www.cosfordcinema.com or call 305-284-4861.
