Grand Master Chen Zhenglei, one of China’s Top 10 martial arts figures and a committee member of the Chinese Sports and Science Institute, will host an hourlong tai chi demonstration at noon on Wednesday, April 13 in the Schoninger Research Quadrangle on the Miller School campus. Refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome to participate and gain insights about the ancient martial art and most popular fitness training in China.
Renowned in his field, Grand Master Chen was born in 1949 in tai chi’s birthplace—Chenjiagou Village, Wenxian County, Henan Province, China—and is the 19th-generation inheritor of the Chen family and 11th-generation direct-line successor of Chen Style tai chi. He has taught tai chi in about 30 countries and has published many tai chi books and a series of videos.
