This course is designed to give you the necessary knowledge and tools to work effectively in a team environment. You will identify the elements of a high-performing team and learn to stimulate innovative thinking and collaboration when working on group projects. In addition, you will learn to delegate tasks effectively within your team and evaluate yourself in a team environment. The course will be held on Tuesday, March 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Dominion Tower, Room 155, on the Miller School campus. Register through ULearn. This course, offered through the Professional Development and Training Program in partnership with the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program), is designed for emerging leaders who want to learn the basics for and skills associated with peer coaching. The course will teach participants how to define coaching and distinguish it from supervision. Participants also will learn how to distinguish between criticism and feedback and will be given the opportunity to provide feedback to colleagues. Sieving, director of the National Eye Institute at the National Institutes of Health, on Tuesday, March 6 at 3 p.m. at the Lois Pope LIFE Center, seventh-floor auditorium.
