H1N1 (Swine) Flu: Facts and Forecasts

Attend a panel on Thursday, May 21 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. titled “Swine Flu: Facts and Forecasts.” With concern over the H1N1 flu still high, this panel will provide the latest information on the outbreak, prevention tips, and how it is being addressed in the community. Join moderator José Szapocznik, chair of the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, with discussant Lillian Rivera from the Miami-Dade County Health Department, for a thought-provoking panel. Opening remarks will be given by Pascal Goldschmidt, executive vice president of medical affairs and dean of the Miller School of Medicine. Other presentations by UM faculty include John C. Beier, Diana M. Lopez, Gordon M. Dickinson Jr., Claude Earl Fox. amd David A. Lubarsky, as well as  Fermin Leguen from the Office of Epidemiology and Disease Control at Miami-Dade County Health Department. The event will be held at Sylvester Comprehensive Care Center, room 1301, and will be simultaneously broadcast to Conference Room 989 in the Clinical Research Building. No RSVP is required.
