Fourth Quarterly Seminar Series by Disparities and Community Outreach Core: Breaking the Cycle: Investigating the Intersection of Educational Inequities and Health Disparities

Join the Miller School of Medicine’s Disparities and Community Outreach Core for the online videoconference “Breaking the Cycle: Investigating the Intersection of Educational Inequities and Health Disparities,” which will be hosted by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Program for Ethnicity, Culture, and Health Outcomes. The videoconference takes place on Tuesday, June 9 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. and can be seen at the Clinical Research Building, Room 1539A, on the Miller School campus. Speakers will include Reginald Weaver, National Education Association; Dina Castro, FPG Child Development Institute; Nicholas Freudenberg, Program in Urban Public Health, Hunter College School of Health Sciences/City University of New York; and Lillian A. Sparks, executive director, National Indian Education Association. The moderator will be Howard Lee, executive director of the North Carolina Education Cabinet.
