Irwin P. Stotzky, professor in the School of Law and director of the Center for the Study of Human Rights, will discuss “The Truth About Haiti” on Tuesday, April 20 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Law Library, second-floor reading room.
For the past 35 years, Stotzky has represented Haitian and other refugees on constitutional and human rights issues in many cases, including several cases in the U.S. Supreme Court. He has served as an attorney and adviser to former Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, and as an adviser to current President Rene Preval’s administration.
