The University of Miami Frost Chorale, under the direction of Joshua Habermann, presents a spring concert, Eternal Light, featuring five centuries of sacred a cappella choral music, on Sunday, April 19 at 4 p.m. at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Coral Gables.  The concert will begin with Renaissance and Baroque works by Orlando Gibbons and Antonio Lotti, followed by double-choir music from Heinrich Schütz, Felix Mendelssohn, and Frank Martin.  The program will include a 2001 composition by the rising Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo, setting a mystic medieval Easter text.  The afternoon concludes with a sampling of American choral music and spirituals by Randall Thompson and Moses Hogan.
