This seminar, sponsored by the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP), is offered for those who are, or know of someone, in the caregiver role. Caring for another person (whether an ill partner, elderly parent, or developmentally challenged child) can be both physically and psychologically taxing. This seminar will focus on helping those in these roles prevent “caregiver burnout.” A representative from the University of Miami’s Center on Aging will be in attendance to provide valuable information and answer questions regarding the resources available through participation in their Working Caregiver Program. Community resources available to caregivers will also be presented. The seminar will:

• Review issues affecting caregivers
• Identify strategies that help caregivers manage caregiver fatigue
• Provide resources so people know where to get help
